Full-voltage across-the-line units are the common choice, and we stock them alongside the rest of our motor starters. Coil voltage matters as much as horsepower, because a control circuit rated at 120 will not drive a unit built for 480 volts. Take the overload relay off and a starter becomes one of our electrical contactors, which suits loads that need no motor protection. Spare coils, contact kits, and solid-state overload relays are stocked separately for units already in service. Combination builds put a disconnect or industrial circuit breaker in the same enclosure as the starter. Enclosure choice depends on where the unit mounts, from open frames inside a cabinet to type 1 for general indoor use.
